Welcome To The Rotary World Fest

Unite to make a difference to the community we live in – addressing health issues affecting infants to elders to child education to malnutrition, unemployment to environment. This initiative is supported by N.A.Shah Foundation, Amrut Mody Foundation, The Om Kher Charitable Trust and Rotary Club of Bombay Worli.

Rotary World Fest will be presented by Rotary District 3141 & it aims to be created as an intellectual property that showcases the Power of Unity, the ‘Power of Collaboration” & "Power of Giving". This is an event which will bring forth a compelling reason to unite Mumbaikars through a multicultural global connect for Rotarians as well as Non-Rotarians. This initiative is the first of its kind in India and is structured to be replicable across India.

About Rotary World Fest

World fest is conceived to be a full day (10 hour) festival offering a wholesome experience of a Race Day at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. The total prize pool of that day, which amounts to 7 Race cups totaling Rs. 1.5 crores will be collected and used for charity of choice for which donor has donated. 100% of money will be for charity & no amount will be used for stake money or for event.

The WORLD FEST aims to bring under one roof global fusion food delicacies & multicultural entertainment. The target audience is 1500+ non-Rotarians in the age group of 25-40 years and 1500+ Rotarians making it a total of more than 3000 footfalls for the 10-hour event.

George Brooks

George Brooks is a prolific and diverse saxophonist
and composer, acclaimed for successfully bridging the worlds of jazz and Indian classical music. He is the founder of Indian fusion groups Summit with Zakir Hussain, Steve Smith, Kai Eckhardt and Fareed Haque; Bombay Jazz with Larry Coryell and Ronu Majumdar; the Raga Bop Trio with Steve Smith and Carnatic guitarist Prasanna and Elements with Indian violinist Kala Ramnath and Dutch harpist Gwyneth Wentink.

Louis Banks

He is the man behind the lilting, haunting, musical score of the much talked about Mile Sur Mera Tumhara trilogy that made it big on the small screen. His inspiring melody for our most revered athletes, SPREAD THE LIGHT OF FREEDOM is remembered by all those who have heard the tune, even today.

Isheeta Chakrvarty

Isheeta Chakrvarty is a contemporary and versatile vocal artiste who is both a trained Hindustani classical singer singing Khayal, Thumri, Bhajan and Qawwali as well as an accomplished Jazz singer who has performed at several music festivals and concert stages across the globe including the recently concluded Java Jazz Festival 2016 in Jakarta. She is also a recording artist for films and has recorded for composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar to name a few. She was also a part of Vishal Dadlani's ensemble of artists to pay tribute to the legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan at the NH7 music festival in 2015.

Sheetal Kolwalkar

Sheetal is internationally recognized as a prolific kathak performer, versatile choreographer and successful teacher (Guru).


Salim Sulaiman

Today, Salim and Sulaiman Merchant are among India's most respected composers, having scored more than 100 films.

The duo have enthralled audiences across the world with their live concerts including performing at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2010. Their songs have been very inspirational especially their sports anthem 'Chak De India'.

Ami Shroff

Shroff has never taken a professional course and can never say for sure what she's going to perform at a event.After winning the India championship in December 2014, she was one of the finalists to represent India in the Regional Finals of La Maison Cointreau, an all-women bartending competition held in Bangkok, Thailand in January 2015.

Rotary International 3141

Rotary International is a philanthropic organization comprising of members who have come together for a cause of benefitting the society. The member profiles comprise of affluent personalities with a high degree of social impact.

Their philanthropic initiatives are focused at the underprivileged sections of the society which need financial and materialistic support to live a fuller life. Rotary also aims to educate and empowering underprivileged kids and youth with education as well as employment opportunities to build their future as contributing members of the mainstream society.

Rotary District 3141 in Mumbai is a congregation of 80+ clubs with over 5000+ members. Independent members of every club make it as a mission to connect twice a month to discuss and conceptualize initiatives that harmoniously benefit societies at large for a cultural, social and financial impact.

Historically Rotarians have been known to conduct several events that are high in stature and profile. However, these events have majorly been at independent club levels for Rotarian + Non-Rotarians residing within the vicinity of the club itself.
